Jake Melksham’s new Melbourne gear stolen
JAKE Melksham’s career at Melbourne is off to a rocky start after a thief broke into his car and stole his new Demons uniform.
THINGS haven’t gotten off to the greatest of starts for new Demon Jake Melksham, with the former Bomber having his gear stolen this morning.
Melksham, 24, was last month traded to Melbourne for a second-round draft pick after 114 games at Essendon.
His new first to fourth year teammates are set to begin their preseason training today, with Melksham thankful he wasn’t due to return after waking up to find thieves had their way with his car overnight.
“Lucky I don’t start training today,” he tweeted.
“Someone’s gettin round with a new @melbournefc tracksuit and backpack on, car robbed.”
Perhaps the burglar is red and blue at heart, with Melksham also saying that the Melbourne equipment was all that was nicked from the car.
