GREATER Western Sydney joined Geelong in celebrating their end to the AFL season by ditching the boots and donning the fancy dress.
The Giants had a few drinks in Sydney on Monday, dressing up to the theme of ‘What would you be if you weren’t playing football?’
Small defender Heath Shaw, always entertaining via his Twitter account, led the charge as he got in the mood for the upcoming Spring Carnival, while forward Jeremy Cameron showed his taste for the golf course - and current affairs - by dressing up as flamboyant US golfer John Daly.

Earlier on Monday the Cats set the tone for the day when the Dalai Lama, Mick Fanning and Chewbacca hit the pub in Geelong.
Captain Joel Selwood carried Jimmy Bartel, dressed as a shark, perhaps stole the show at the club’s Mad Monday celebrations. SCROLL DOWN FOR ALL THE PICS
The unthinkable happened when Cam Guthrie and Mark Blicavs arrived minutes later as Fanning and Shark II.

“We obviously put a bit more time into our (costume) than the other boys did. We think we’ve out done them by a little bit,” Selwood said.
“The shark (Bartel) came to me at the time when the event happened and said it was probably a good one to keep in mind for the end of the year.
“We’ll just relax today. We had a good night on Saturday night for the boys and we’ll continue on with it today.”
Veteran James Kelly, who came as Elliott from ET complete with a bicycle and paper mache alien, offered to give teammates a lift to other watering holes.
“I’ll hang onto the bike for as long as I can and it’ll come in handy. Usually by 2-3pm, it’ll be gone.
“I’m always available for a dink if anyone wants one. I’m always good like that.
“My mother-in-law made the ET and spray painted the bike for me so I’m rapt.”
Retiring midfielder Mathew Stokes channelled his spiritual side as the Dalai Lama.
The AFL season is also over for Collingwood, Melbourne, St Kilda, Essendon, Carlton, GWS, Port Adelaide and Brisbane.
But there won’t be much frivolity from the St Kilda players, with defender Sam Gilbert revealing last week that the Saints won’t be engaging in a traditional end-of-season bash today.
“No Mad Monday this year,” he said.
“We’ll just get together with the coaching staff and the football department and we’ll just have a nice little sit-down lunch.
“We’ll keep it pretty tame.”
The Suns also announced that their celebrations will be scaled back after last year’s allegedly drug-fuelled off-season antics.
“It’ll be fairly lame or tame, if that’s the right phrase. There won’t be anything special that they’re doing,” Suns coach Rodney Eade said.
“They need to unload from the season and have a drink together, all clubs do that, but it needs to be responsible and needs to be sensible about it.”
