Lance Franklin should not have played against GWS says Hawthorn champ Shane Crawford
HAWTHORN champion Shane Crawford says Lance Franklin must wear some of the blame for a repeat of his hamstring injury.
HAWTHORN champion Shane Crawford says Lance Franklin must wear some of the blame for a repeat of his hamstring injury.
Franklin went into Sunday's game against Greater Western Sydney under a cloud and will miss the next 2-3 weeks after hurting it again against the Giants.
Crawford said the Hawks should have been more cautious with their superstar spearhead.
"There was no need for it, we knew he had hurt his hamstring and he didn't train all week,'' Crawford said in his weekly SuperCoach video Coach Crawf.
"He was a little bit dodgy, now he's got to take some responsibility as well because there was no doubt he was putting up his hand (to play).
"You can't play at this top level when you are little bit suspect.''
