GOLD Coast has secured its first win of 2017 with a comfortable 24-point win over Brisbane in its opening preseason clash.

The win was soured, however, by the injury to Sam Day who dislocated his hip and was taken to hospital. Earlier, North Melbourne defeated Sydney in Coffs Harbour and Adelaide joined Brisbane as the only two undefeated teams remaining in the AFLW after beating Carlton in a thriller.
