BRISBANE fullback Matt Maguire will be given every opportunity to tame the Tigers at the Gabba tomorrow night.

Maguire was last night named in the Lions line-up for the round 19 clash with Richmond, despite limping from the field with an ankle injury in the third quarter of Brisbane's 98-point loss to West Coast last Sunday.

He will train at the Gabba today and must come through unscathed to join a Brisbane side hellbent on redemption.

The former St Kilda defender was hobbling badly earlier in the week.

However, the Lions remain hopeful he will be fit to subdue Tigers spearhead Jack Riewoldt.

Brisbane's match committee has shown its displeasure with the effort against the Eagles, making five changes to the side that was humbled at Patersons Stadium.

Daniel Rich, Josh Drummond, Josh Green, Jordan Lisle and Patrick Karnezis have been elevated to the senior side at the expense of Ryan Lester, James Hawksley, Ryan Harwood, Rohan Bewick and Niall McKeever.

Meanwhile, the Lions are set to announce the re-signing of vice-captain Jed Adcock.

The club is in the final stages of negotiations with Adcock's management. Brisbane will then move on negotiations with veteran duo Ash McGrath and Drummond, who are off-contract at the end of 2012 and have free agency status. Both are considered "required players" by the Lions

Meanwhile, the Gold Coast has recalled star midfielder Michael Rischitelli for Sunday's match against Melbourne at the MCG.

Rischitelli missed last week's loss to Sydney due to a knee injury and has been included in the Suns' line-up alongside Sam Day and Aaron Hall.

The Gold Coast will cull three players from the extended 25-man squad tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a top-heavy Hawthorn is set to let ruckmen David Hale and Max Bailey battle it out for the permanent place with five rounds remaining before finals.

The premiership favourites recalled Hale for tomorrow night’s blockbuster against Geelong with the former Roo replacing Shane Savage in Alastair Clarkson’s side and joining Bailey for the first time this season.

Bailey, who missed the first four months of the season with a wrist injury, returned last week and performed admirably against Essendon while Hale and makeshift ruckman Jarryd Roughead have carried stoppage duties with aplomb all season.

The Hawks are still without superstar Lance Franklin while the Cats will be boosted by bookends Matthew Scarlett and James Podsiadly for the MCG clash. Geelong also named concussion victim Steve Johnson.

Collingwood injected five premiership stars into its side to face St Kilda on Saturday night with Harry O’Brien, Dale Thomas, Sharrod Wellingham, Steele Sidebottom and Darren Jolly all set to come into the side which smacked GWS by 120 points last week.

And the Pies surprisingly dropped impressive defender Nathan Brown and again lost patience with Irishman Marty Clarke who has hit a flat spot since his swift return earlier this year.

Essendon will travel to Adelaide without Brent Stanton but stood form on its stance the gun midfielder has not been struck down by the infamous soft-tissue curse which has thrust the Bombers’ finals hopes into jeopardy.

Stanton was listed as soreness despite reports he tweaked his hamstring last Friday night.

The Bombers named Michael Hurley while forgotten defender Tayte Pears is in line to play his first match this season.

Speedster Jason Johanissen is set to make his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.

The elevated rookie, who was rested last week, was one of five changes with Dogs coach Brendan McCartney reacting savagely to another heavy defeat.

Dogs forward Liam Jones was again dropped, adding to his nightmare season, while former Lion Justin Sherman will look to add some spark to the Dogs after booting three goals from 28 touches in the VFL last week.
