Hailing from South Bunbury, in Western Australia’s South West region, Hunter was picked up in the 1999 draft.

He played 151 AFL games and won a premiership with the Eagles in 2006.

During that grand final victory against the Sydney Swans, Hunter kicked a memorable and vital goal in the final quarter.

In 2007, Hunter finished second in the best and fairest award behind then skipper Darren Glass.

Hunter retired at the conclusion of the 2009 season after a shoulder injury brought a premature end to his career.

Hunter is an Eagles life member.
