TWO footballers who are yet to make their AFL debuts have been selected in the 21-man Indigenous All Stars squad to tour Ireland later this month.

Melbourne’s Dom Barry and Adelaide’s Cameron Ellis-Yolmen, as well as little-known Greater Western Sydney teenager Shaun Edwards, will represent Australia in two International Rules Tests on October 19 and 26.

The squad also includes recently retired players Nathan Lovett-Murray (Essendon) and Aaron Davey (Melbourne).

Several big-names from the original 33-man squad are missing, including Grand Finalists Shaun Burgoyne and Brad Hill (Hawthorn) and Stephen Hill, Michael Johnson, Danyle Pearce and Michael Walters (Fremantle).

Allen Christensen (Geelong), Adam Goodes (Sydney), Patrick Ryder (Essendon) and Andrew Walker (Carlton) were also unavailable.

Lance Franklin is set to miss the second test to attend the wedding of former Hawthorn teammate Brent Guerra.

But Australian coach Michael O’Loughlin said he expected the All Stars would prove formidable opposition for the Irish.

"One thing I can guarantee is that we’ll be going over there and giving it our absolute best," O’Loughlin said.

"We’re playing for sheep stations, our effort will be pretty intense.

"It’s a pretty historic tour. The last time this happened was in 1868, so it’s going to massive. We can’t wait to hear that national anthem at (Dublin’s) Croke Park and represent our country."

The team will train at Gosch’s Paddock on Friday and use the facilities Collingwood’s Westpac Centre.

O’Loughlin said he was unperturbed about star Lance Franklin missing the second Test to attend the wedding of Hawthorn premiership teammate Brent Guerra.

"We knew that going into it, so it was nothing unexpected for us," he said.

"We can't wait to chuck that (Australian) jumper on and I know Buddy's extremely excited about it. We'll take Buddy anyway we can get him. It's been one of those things where the rest of the players have been looking forward to playing with him."

O’Loughlin said he was yet to determine who would fill the role of goalkeeper.

"We’ve just got to see who’s a good fit with agility and size and shows a bit of ability at training."
