THE Brendan Fevola show reached new heights yesterday with Yarrawonga's prized recruit notching a century of goals.
But in a possible blow to Pigeons' flag aspirations, Fevola finished the game on the bench with a knee injury.
The former AFL superstar booted six goals to help the Pigeons cruise to an easy win over North Albury but was clearly limited after landing awkwardly in the opening term.
Despite the injury, Fevola stayed on the park to give the home-fans what they'd come to see, bagging his 100th early in the last term.
Hundreds of the 400-strong crowd streamed on the oval in scenes not usually seen in country football.
Fevola exited soon after which allowed Wodonga Raiders forward Patty Rose to win the Ovens and Murray league’s goalkicking race. Rose finished with 101 after bagging six in his side’s win over Myrtleford.
Earlier today Fevola tweeted that the knee had pulled up sore and he was off for scans. The Pigeons do have a week off before a semi-final showdown but they will be holding its breath hoping the scans come back all clear.
