Boot manufacturer XBlades has launched its first range of women’s footy boots – just in time to kick off the 2018 season.
They’ve been custom created in partnership with female footy stars and designed specifically for women.
In the past, many women playing football and rugby have simply worn men’s boots, which can leave their feet less stable and, as a result, put the women at risk of injuries.
But these boots take into consideration the true shape of women’s feet.
XBlades Australia chief executive officer Leighton Richards said the new boot represented an exciting step for the company.
He said the company was passionate about providing equal opportunities and creating footwear that was “athlete led”.
Adelaide Crows AFLW stars Randall, Abbey Holmes and Sarah Perkins helped to create to boots.
