Both the Giants and the Dockers stepped out onto the Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday afternoon donning white shorts and jumpers that had dark numbers plastered on a white background.

The clash in strips caused confusion among on-lookers, with the Giants forced to change into charcoal shorts at quarter-time.

Tradtionally, the home team — in this case the Giants — wears coloured shorts and the away team dons white shorts.

The jumper-short fiasco comes after Geelong unveiled its new 2017 pre-season attire against Hawthorn on Friday night.

Some members of the AFL community took to Twitter to voice their frustration.
