WE are only early into the AFLW season, but you will struggle to find a better goal than this.

Melbourne livewire Aliesha Newman produced an absolute stunner against the Crows on Saturday afternoon, sending the home fans at Casey Field wild.

Newman gathered the ball on the wing, turned on the jets, took three bounces and finished with a banana for the opening goal of the game.

Former St Kilda star Leigh Montagna was quick to dub the effort a goal of the year contender.
