AFLW premiership rings unveiled ahead of inaugural Grand Final between Brisbane Lions and Adelaide Crows
THERE is no venue or start time for the AFLW Grand Final this weekend, but at least the winning side will receive a bespoke ring, the AFL has announced today.
THE victorious AFL Women’s outfit will be awarded custom-made premiership rings.
The inaugural women’s Grand Final will be played between Brisbane and Adelaide on Saturday — with a venue yet to be decided — with the league set to announce today that the winning side will be presented with the bespoke Musson jewellery.
“We are thrilled with the three-year partnership between Musson and the AFL to create such a commemorative item of jewellery for our pioneering women players,” AFL football operations boss Simon Lethlean said.

“The Musson bespoke ring is a unique keepsake that will ensure the memory of a premiership lives on.”
Only 23 rings will be produced, to be presented to the 22 players and winning coach, which will feature the AFLW logo in 18-carat white gold, with the two shoulders of the ring featuring eight white diamonds and the premiership year engraved below with an additional diamond.
“The design is very clean and contemporary, it is a statement but also a very wearable ring,” Musson creative director Olivar Musson said.
“I wanted the ring to be a strong design as it encapsulates the power and determination synonymous with winning a premiership.”
AFL premiership winners have not traditionally been awarded mementos other than premiership medallions, though for the last two years victorious men’s team has been presented with limited edition premiership watches created by Tissot.
