AFL unveils dates and venues for remainder of 2020 finals series
The AFL has unveiled the dates and venues for the remainder of the finals series, and one bizarre detail should have Richmond fans worried.
The AFL has revealed the dates and venues for weeks two and three of the finals series.
Week one featured some of the most entertaining football of the 2020 season — as revealed by Fox Sports reporter Max Laughton, it was statistically the closest first week of the AFL finals since 1990.
But with six clubs remaining in the premiership, attention quickly shifts to the next couple of weekends.
After their entertaining victory over the Western Bulldogs, St Kilda will travel to the Gold Coast and take on defending premiers Richmond next Friday evening.
Incredibly, Saints coach Brett Ratten boasts a 7-0 record when coming up against Tigers coach Damien Hardwick in the AFL.

Meanwhile, the Collingwood Magpies will face the Geelong Cats at the Gabba next Saturday evening for the other semi-final.
In week three, minor premiers Port Adelaide will host the winner of the Metricon Stadium match, while the Brisbane Lions will host the other semi-finals victor.
Then in a historic first, the Grand Final will be under lights at the Gabba on Saturday, October 24.

AFL General Manager of Clubs and Broadcasting Travis Auld said in a statement: “The AFL was seeking to maximise attendance and audiences, along with considering relevant club venue preferences and achieving appropriate days-break between games for all clubs.
“The AFL took into account both Richmond’s and Geelong Cats’ preferences to play at Metricon Stadium and The Gabba respectively next week.
“The fixture ensured a minimum seven days break for all teams other than St Kilda, who were previously made aware that they would have a 6 day break into the match against Richmond.”
