AFL 360 host Mark Robinson believes Adam Treloar has played his last game for Collingwood after news broke his partner – netball star Kim Ravaillion – is moving to Brisbane.

Ravaillion is an Australian representative who last played for Super Netball’s Collingwood Magpies in 2019 before taking this year off for the birth of the couple’s first child, Georgie.

She will resume her career in 2021 with the Queensland Firebirds and, SEN reports, will move to Brisbane with her daughter.

It left Robinson and AFL 360 co-host Gerard Whateley positive the Collingwood career of Treloar – who is a weekly guest on their program – is over.

“We’ve got to know Adam and what a family man he is. It’s hard for us to imagine Adam living away from his partner – and his baby,” Whateley said.

“Hard to imagine? It won’t happen, Gerard. It won’t happen. This is a big story …

“Adam has spoken about his mental health battles through his life, thinking he wasn’t ever good enough to play AFL or achieve in life. He found a wonderful partner, they’ve had a child together, it’s wonderful, and now Adam’s going to let her go play Super Netball in Brisbane?

“I’m sitting here tonight thinking Adam Treloar may have played his last game for Collingwood.”

“I think he will be with his family next year and if his family is going to be in Queensland, he’ll be playing his footy in Queensland,” Whateley added.

Treloar, who has played 94 games for the Magpies after starting his career in Greater Western Sydney, was linked to a move to the Gold Coast Suns 12 months ago but it never eventuated.

Suns coach Stuart Dew appeared on AFL 360 on Monday night and described Treloar as a “fantastic” player. He said his understanding at this stage Treloar would remain at Collingwood.

But Dew said the Suns were in the market for established midfielders.

“We’ve got pick five in the draft, and that’s something that we’d be open to trading if one of those types of players comes up,” Dew said.

Channel 7’s Tom Browne suggested Collingwood should trade Treloar for the Suns’ first rounder and then use the salary cap space it would free up to sign Giants spearhead Jeremy Cameron.

“I’d do pick five for Treloar. Collingwood could then get Jeremy Cameron for virtually nothing. Five would hopefully replace Treloar. And you could use Treloar’s $700,000 for Cameron. I think about $900,000 would virtually guarantee Cameron,” he tweeted.

But the Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph poured cold water on the prospect, tweeting: “(Treloar) has absolutely no intention of leaving the Pies. None whatsoever. It makes sense but he has made clear he’s staying.

“I have spoken to Adam Treloar’s manager Tim Hazell tonight. He isn’t leaving. He tells the Herald Sun: ‘He moved to Collingwood to play for Collingwood and that’s it. Gold Coast has spoken to me, but we made clear his future is at Collingwood’.

“Collingwood are fully aware of the situation with Kim & Adam. She is going up there on a one-season deal. I understand the situation can change but the Treloar camp is upset about the rampant speculation when not many checked with them. This is a family decision for Kim and Adam.”
