AFL star goes public with kiss after separation from ex-wife
AFL star Gary Rohan has shared a smooch in public for the first time with his new girlfriend after the dramatic breakdown of his marriage.
AFL star Gary Rohan has shared a kiss in public with new girlfriend Madi Bennett following his messy divorce last year.
The Geelong speedster was reported to have been dating Bennett earlier this year and he set tongues wagging when he posted a photo of Bennett with his children on Instagram.
The relationship has now been confirmed with a smooch in front of thousands as the 29-year-old led his Cats teammates out onto the MCG for his 150-game milestone moment.
Bennett was seen during the live broadcast standing at the end of the player’s race alongside his children, daughters Bella and Sadie Rose.

Rohan was seen embracing his two girls and giving Bennett a kiss before walking out onto the MCG with his daughters hanging off his arms.
It was a special moment for Rohan, who was congratulated by TV commentators Brian Taylor and Fox Footy’s Jonathan Brown for sharing a special moment with his kids.
Rohan had previously refused to address his romantic life before reports emerged that the new woman in his life was Bennett, a physiotherapist who once worked for the Cats.
Rohan had shared an image to Instagram in which he was cosying up to his daughters and a mystery woman, since revealed to be Bennett.
It was rumoured that the new relationship led to friction between Rohan and teammate Tom Hawkins, who reportedly confronted Rohan about his behaviour inside the AFL’s COVID-19 bubble last year. The teammates have since been spotted smiling alongside each other several times.
Rohan’s four-year marriage reportedly ended when the AFL went into its bubble in 2020, just months after the birth of the pair’s third child Sadie Rose in March last year.
Amie and Gary were childhood sweethearts and married in 2016.
Amie was a notable absentee when many of the club’s partners and children joined the players inside their Gold Coast isolation hub in August.
She stayed behind on the Bellarine Coast near Geelong with her daughters.
The pair lost their third child Willow Nevaeh, Bella’s twin, just five hours after she was born, having suffered a fatal neural tube defect with no cure known as anencephaly.
While the pair knew that Willow would not survive after birth, it didn’t make it any easier.
Amie has spoken about the pain of the loss in the past, having suffered PTSD, post natal anxiety and post natal depression since the passing of Willow.
The Instagram influencer earlier this year opened up on the loss of her marriage with Rohan, comparing it to losing her child.
Amie posted videos of her together with children hours after the Cats had beaten Richmond on Friday night.
Rohan, meanwhile, had one of his best games of the year as he helped Geelong capture a small taste of revenge following Richmond’s victory in the 2020 AFL grand final.
