MELBOURNE star Jesse Hogan will make his return to football on Sunday at the MCG after surgery to remove testicular cancer.

Hogan is one of four inclusions for the Demons for the clash against the Blues, alongside small forward Jeff Garlett. SEE ALL THE ROUND 16 TEAMS BELOW Hogan has had a horrid year, with the passing of his father followed by a cancer diagnosis. His return with buoy the injury-hit Demons, who will be without co-captains Jack Viney and Nathan Jones and Jack Watts. The football community rallied around Hogan after his diagnosis and he will play his first game since Round 7. Carlton has made three changes for the clash, with young gun Sam Petrevski-Seton back in but debutant-in-waiting Harry McKay will have to wait another week. NORTH Melbourne will welcome back Ben Cunnginton, while draftee Jy Simpkin will play after recovering from a shoulder injury for the clash against Fremantle. THE DOCKERS have regained wingman Stephen Hill. GARY Ablett has been struck down by injury again and will miss Gold Coast’s clash with Sydney at the SCG on Saturday. Ablett is sidelined with a hamstring injury, while fellow gun Pearce Hanley will also miss with a hamstring. The champion onballer played his 300th career game against North Melbourne last Saturday. COLLINGWOOD has recalled Ben Reid for its clash with Essendon at the MCG on Saturday just a week after being sensationally dropped for Sunday’s loss to Hawthorn. But the Magpies have lost Darcy Moore to a hamstring injury, while Travis Varcoe will play his first senior game since Round 6. GEELONG has been boosted by the return of captain Joel Selwood after recovering from concussion. Selwood was a late withdrawal from the draw against GWS on Saturday night. First-year player Brandan Parfitt has also been named for his first game since suffering a serious hamstring injury. Aaron Black has been dropped. WESTERN Bulldogs will welcome back four premiership stars for Friday night’s clash with Adelaide, headlined by Tom Liberatore. Liberatore is one of four changes at the Kennel, with Matthew Boyd, Clay Smith and Fletcher Roberts all named. The Dogs have lost captain Bob Murphy to another hamstring injury, while Tory Dickson has been dropped.
