Western Bulldogs star Rory Lobb is having a tough time at the moment after being dropped by his team — but it appears to be worse than first thought.

Fighting for his spot back in the Bulldogs best 22, the ruckman is now in the firing line for engaging in a cringe TikTok trend.

Lobb is on the outer at the Bulldogs having not played in the senior team since round one after being supplanted by rising star Sam Darcy.

To his credit, Lobb has been putting up decent numbers in the VFL with nine goals in his last two games but with the Bulldogs winning without him it may be a while before he can find his way back in.

Right now he is also facing the wrath of the internet for his role in his fiance Lexi May’s TikTok poking fun at Lobb being stuck in the VFL.

The video features May and Lobb as they lip-sync the chorus from High School Musical 2 song Gotta Go My Own Way.

The video includes a caption: “POV: He has to play VFL for the rest of his career”.

In the clip, Lobb mouths the words: “What about us? What about everything we’ve been through”.

May’s posts centre around being the partner of an AFL player and often feature Lobb but this TikTok has gone viral.

At the time of writing on Thursday morning it had more than 340,000 views, has been shared more than 200 times and is the most viewed video on her page by a huge margin.

While the video has almost 17,000 likes many of the comments have taken a dim view of Lobb making light of his situation.

“Which club he at next year cause he’ll probs be delisted,” one user posted.

“Pull ya finger out & dominate, get out of magoos,” another said.

There was also plenty of Freo fans who still haven’t forgiven Lobb for turning his back on the club.

“The wider AFL community are now starting to understand the particular disdain that Freo nuffs have for Rory Lobb,” one X user posted.

“He is lazy and takes no responsibility for anything and would be happy to get mega bucks playing in the VFL. Freo massive winners in this trade,” another wrote.

Lobb returned to Melbourne to link up with the Bulldogs at the end of the 2022 AFL Trade Period where he signed a three-year deal reportedly worth $1.5 million.

Lobb and Mary celebrated their engagement in November.

Lobb popped the question as the couple soaked up the sunset in style in the Maldives.
