AFL: Lions star Charlie Cameron’s love of the Atlanta Falcons leads to American television appearance
Charlie Cameron’s admiration of Atlanta Falcons player Julio Jones led to the Lions star appearing on American television.
Brisbane Lions star Charlie Cameron’s love for the Atlanta Falcons and their wide receiver Julio Jones has captured the attention of American sports fans.
Cameron has had a tattoo of Jones, one of the NFL’s best players, on his calf since December.
It caught the eyes of fans on social media, and led to Cameron being interviewed by Fox 5 Atlanta’s Justin Felder.
Wearing a replica No.11 Jones jersey, Cameron expressed his admiration for the 31-year-old member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
His ink caught the eye of #Falcons fans ... so we caught up with a big Julio Jones fan on the other side of the world. Fun story on @brisbanelions star whose admiration for "The Jet" is more than skin deep.

“I just love your game, and love how you go about your business,” Cameron said in paying homage to Jones.
“I think you are the greatest receiver of all time, obviously the best at the moment. That’s what I can say.”
Cameron said he became a Falcons and Jones supporter after watching the 2014 season of Hard Knocks, an American reality sports documentary television series which follows an NFL team’s training camp and pre-season preparations.
“The way he goes about it, he doesn’t say much. I watch a lot of NFL, and he doesn’t say anything. He just goes out there and does his work,” Cameron said of Jones
“That’s pretty cool, (and) he backs it up every week.”
