AFL great Dale Thomas gets married in star studded wedding

AFL great Dale Thomas has tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony in Victoria as an injured player showed up with a classy act.

AFL great Dale Thomas has married his partner Natasha Bongiorno in a star studded ceremony on Friday.

Thomas and Natasha tied the knot at Mount William Station at the foot the Grampians in Victoria with around 160 guests in attendance.

The newlyweds shared a photo on Instagram in a joint post captioned “MR AND MRS THOMAS” with a love heart.

Natasha also shared a video montage of the big day, writing: “THIS IS A DREAM - THANKYOU”, sharing all the details of their wedding.

The Herald Sun reports the wedding was attended by plenty of familiar footy faces and Melbourne names.

Carlton star Jack Silvagni, who recently ruptured his ACL, was the wedding’s MC, while Eddie McGuire and wife Carla were also in attendance.

Thomas won the 2010 AFL premiership with Collingwood and played 258 games in his career with the Magpies and Carlton before retiring in 2019.

The 36-year-old was part of Collingwood’s infamous ‘rat pack’ along with Heath Shaw, Dane Swan and Alan Didak during their glory days. Shaw was a groomsman along with Thomas’ old mates.

Thomas, who has a daughter Tilly from a previous relationship, previously said he wanted his wedding to be a celebration.

“It’s all about having fun,” he said on Triple M’s The Rush Hour.

“It’ll be parents, speeches from best man, maid of honour and then Tash and I and on with the party. Ninety per cent are glamping so it should be good.”
