WHAT TIME DOES THE AFL GRAND FINAL START?

The first bounce will be at 2:30pm AEST on Saturday, September 30. That’s 2pm in SA and NT and 12.30pm in WA.

WHO WILL WIN THE AFL GRAND FINAL?

Collingwood and Brisbane have been the best two teams all year, with both qualifying final winners to play off in the decider for just the second time since 2017.

But the experts and punters are split on the winner.

The Magpies ($1.75) are favourite with TAB – as of Thursday afternoon – ahead of the Lions at $2.10.

IS THERE AN AFL GRAND FINAL PARADE?

The 2023 AFL Grand Final parade will start from 10.30am (AEST) on Friday and will be broadcast exclusively on Fox Footy.

As revealed by this masthead, a huge new public live site with a 360-degree stage will form the centrepiece of this year’s revamped AFL grand final parade.

The parade will start from a Melbourne Park field used as Grand Slam Oval during the Australian Open that will become a live site to get fans closer to the action.

The motorcade will make its way through Birrarung Marr and into Footy Festival at Yarra Park, concluding at Gate 3 of the MCG.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE’S A DRAW IN THE AFL GRAND FINAL?

Extra time will be required if scores are level at full-time. Both teams would have a six-minute break before the game resumes with two three-minute halves (plus time on). Teams swap ends after each half without a break.

An extra 10 interchanges are permitted in each half and do not roll over.

If scores are still level after the first extra time, another two halves of extra time would be played.

WHAT IS AFL GRAND FINAL WEATHER FORECAST?

International rock superstars KISS will headline the AFL Grand Final entertainment, performing pre-game.

At half-time, Mark Seymour & the Undertow, and special guest Kate Miller-Heidke, will perform.

The 2023 Norm Smith medal will be awarded to the player judged best afield in the AFL Grand Final.
