Brisbane coach Chris Fagan says Mitch Robinson’s sledging of Tom Lynch is “small stuff” and insists the Lions have moved on from the incident.

Lions star Robinson caused a furore when he called Richmond’s Lynch a “wanker” over a video game stream.

“He went to a good team to get success, that’s what he did. He went to a premiership team and thinks he’s that good. He just does my head in. He’s a wanker,” Robinson said of the former Gold Coast Suns star.

But despite reports Fagan had given Robinson a severe dressing down, the Lions coach on Friday played down the episode.

“I read a book a long time ago titled ‘Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff’ – I reckon it’s small stuff,” Fagan said.

“We’ve had a conversation as we would but we’ve put that to bed and we’re moving on.”

“Moving on” to the Lions’ clash with St Kilda at the Gabba on Sunday to be exact.

At least two changes are expected to the Brisbane team that beat North Melbourne by a point last Saturday at Metricon Stadium.

Forward Cameron Rayner is fit to play after recovering from a hamstring injury, while defender Daniel Rich is available after serving a one-game suspension.

“We’ll have good list to choose from,” Fagan said.

It’s a list that will include star forward Charlie Cameron, who is expected to bounce back from a quiet afternoon against North Melbourne last Saturday when he was preoccupied because of a knee injury.

“He had a quiet game last week, lowered his colours to his opponent (but he’s) a great competitor Charlie, he’s trained well all week and he’s looking forward to the game,” Fagan said.

Fagan backed calls for a Gabba grand final, saying it would be a massive boost for the code in Queensland.

“We’ve been trying to get some traction for a long, long time, and hopefully with the Gold Coast going well and Brisbane going well, it’ll be another boost to it,” he said

“Hopefully more kids will play footy and more people will get interested in the game, so I see it only as a positive.”

But Fagan said Brisbane’s home-ground advantage was not the same this season due to Queensland having become the AFL’s unofficial home and Victorian clubs basing themselves in the Sunshine State.

“I read a lot where we have this amazing advantage up here because the finals might be played up here and all this sort of business, and I’m looking at St Kilda, and on Sunday it’s their fourth game at the Gabba in five weeks,” the Lions coach said.

“We’ve played here once in the last seven I think so I don’t see the Gabba as an advantage to us, nor the climate anymore because they’ve been training up here for three months.

“It’s pretty even as far as that’s concerned this weekend.”
