If you’re looking for lodgings, or want to sell up, there is a digital one-stop shop that Australians are switching on to in the millions — with more than five million downloads in fact.

In just 11 months, the realestate.com.au app was downloaded one million times.

That makes the realestate.com.au mobile resource Australia’s most used property app and a favourite go to for millions of househunters and potential sellers across the country.

Realestate.com.au has clocked 5 million downloads of its ever-popular app, cementing itself as the property app of choice for millions of people around the country.

Andrew Rechtman, executive general manager of realestate.com.au, said there was a reason the app is the first Australian property app to report five million downloads.

“Our investment in app technology has been delivering great dividends. Consumers are continuing to seek out our app and a recent survey has shown that more Australians are using our app than any other property app,” he said.

“Our consumers are being rewarded with new experiences, such as Suggested Properties — which casts the search net wider by recommending properties which have similar features to those considered in their previous searches,” he said.

Mr Rechtman added that the Suggested Properties tool it another way the group is seeking to drive the “critical connections” which can link a potential buyer with their next property.

“While this is a great achievement for us, the end goal is to continue to provide the best property search experience on the market,” he said.

“In 2016 you’ll see even more innovation as 3D and virtual reality become mainstream and increased personalisation makes it easier to access relevant information,” he said.
