Young woman left with horrific facial injuries after alleged glassing at Perth pub
A 20-year-old woman has undergone surgery after her face was allegedly slashed open with a wine glass by another woman at a pub.
A young woman’s face has been left bloodied after she was allegedly glassed by another woman at a pub in Perth’s north.
Taiya Sampson reportedly underwent surgery on Saturday to repair a deep gash to her cheek and had stitches placed in her forehead after she was allegedly glassed at The Landing in Alkimos on Friday evening.
Police allege a verbal argument broke out between Ms Sampson and another woman, both aged 20, before it allegedly escalated into a physical altercation.
The woman allegedly hit Ms Sampson with a wine glass and left her with a 5cm gash down her left cheek.
Police confirmed the woman are known to each other.
The alleged attacker, from Two Rocks, was charged with unlawful wounding a short time later and faced Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
She was released on bail and will appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on September 4.
