WA police investigate death of Perth woman
Devastated family members of a woman found dead in her Perth home say a confusing text was sent from her phone earlier that day.
Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead in her Perth home in the early hours of the morning.
Devastated family members gathered at the Nollamara home of Jessica Bairnsfather-Scott, a 32-year-old healthcare worker, whose body was found inside the May Drive home on Sunday morning.
“There is no known ongoing risk to the public at this stage,” a WA Police statement said.
No more information was released about her death, but according to Nine News, the family received a confusing text from her phone earlier that day, picturing a car crash.
“Her husband was saying they were both fine but he wouldn’t let us speak to my sister and we knew something was up and kept on trying to call,” her sister Alison Gibson said.
“We didn’t believe him and came here but we couldn’t get in the front door because it was deadbolted.
“Gerard jumped on the roof and got inside and found her.”
It’s understood a man known to the woman is assisting police with their investigation, but no arrests have yet been made.
