The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance about 7.40am after the incident at a heavy machinery manufacturing business on Alice Street.
Work has stopped at the business while investigators examine the scene.
Police and WorkSafe inspectors are currently on site.
