A man has plunged to his death from a 70m hotel located at a coastal hotspot about 14.6km from the city.

A man has plunged to his death from a 70m-tall hotel located at a popular coastal area in Perth’s north.

About 9.30am on Saturda, emergency services rushed to the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough after reports a man had fallen from the building.

He died at the scene.

The hotel is the tallest coastal building in Perth, and is located about 14.6km from the central business district at one of city’s most popular beaches.

The area is normally busy with locals and tourists dining along the cafe strip or exercising along the coastal stretch.

The death is being treated as non suspicious.
