Human remains found in WA bushland believed to be murder victim Wade Dunn
Human remains have been found in remote bushland and police believe they belong to a man who was murdered more than five years ago.
Human remains found in remote bushland in Western Australia are believed to be a murder victim who was hacked with a chainsaw.
Police said the remains were found at Udumung Nature Reserve in Wannamal, in the state’s Wheatbelt region on Monday.
“No formal identification has been completed, however the remains are believed to be that of Wade (Cameron) Dunn,” police said.
“Homicide squad and forensics are currently at the location and are expected to be in attendance tomorrow.”
Gary David Jackson and his cousin Mark David Corbett beat Mr Dunn with a metal pole after luring him to Corbett’s Alexander Heights home in May 2015, the West Australian Supreme Court previously heard.
The 40-year-old victim’s head was then kept in Jackson’s ute for a few days.
Both offenders are serving life sentences for murder.
