High Wycombe dog stolen from driveway

A Perth pet owner is pleading for the return of her “family member” after he was stolen from out the front of her house.

A Perth Hills pet owner is pleading for the return of her “family member” after he was stolen from out the front of her house early Monday morning.

High Wycombe resident Jasmin Maeme said she and her partner awoke to find the front door open and one of their dogs Rosie cowering out the front.

Their other dog, an American Staffordshire terrier named Royce, was missing and could not be found despite a day’s searching.

“We didn’t realise until we checked our camera at 6 o’clock last night that he had been put into someone else’s car,” Ms Maeme.

Ms Maeme said the recording shows a car pulling into the driveway at 2am before someone gets out, picks up Royce and put him in the vehicle.

“I just burst into tears. I don’t know how someone can take someone’s family member away,” she said.

“They might be animals but you love them like they are children.”

Ms Maeme said she and her partner adopted Royce two years ago and ensured he was desexed and microchipped.

The incident has been reported to police and the local council but Ms Maeme said she just wanted Royce to be returned.

“I don’t care if you’ve taken him, just drop him at a local vet and we’ll come and pick him up.”
