Emergency warning for WA bushfire
PEOPLE are “in danger” and “need to act immediately to survive” a bushfire threatening residents in Western Australia.
RESIDENTS in parts of Bunbury south of Perth have been urged to flee an out-of- control bushfire.
People “are in danger” and “need to act immediately to survive” a bushfire which broke out at Picton earlier on Saturday, EmergencyWA said.
An emergency warning covers residents living near Estuary Drive, Old Coast Road, Koombana Drive and Forrest Highway across the suburbs of Picton, Glen Iris, Pelican Point and Vittoria.
#Bunbury update: 7,100 customers are without power in Eaton, Australind, Glen Iris, Millbridge and surrounding areas as a result of the local bushfire. Estimated restoration times will remain unknown until itâs safe for our crews to assess and repair fire damaged infrastructure.
