Police are searching for the driver of a ute that seriously injured a man in a crash south of Perth on Saturday morning.

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Annean Loop in Cooloongup early Saturday morning.

Police are searching for the driver of a ute that seriously injured a man in a crash south of Perth on Saturday morning.

The crash happened on Annean Loop in Cooloongup near Rockingham shortly before 6.30am.

It is believed the light-coloured ute hit a pedestrian before driving off.

The pedestrian was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious leg injuries.

Police want anyone to who witnessed the crash or has information on the vehicle involved to call CrimeStoppers on on 1800 333 000.
