Cannabis, magic mushrooms and $11,000 cash seized in bikie investigation
A West Australian man will face court after an investigation into a bikie gang saw the man's property raided by police.
A West Australian man is expected to front court after cannabis plants, suspected magic mushrooms and more than $11,000 cash was seized from his home.
The 35-year-old has been charged with six drug related offences — which include possessing and cultivating a prohibited plant with intent to sell or supply, and possession of a prohibited drug — and is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.
It comes after the state’s National Anti-Gangs Squad (NAGS) searched his home in early September, as part of an investigation into the WA Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Group.
Investigators allegedly found the cannabis growing system in a bedroom and seized the four plants, $11,250 in cash, about 652 grams of suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms and a small amount of MDMA.
So far this year, 31 properties have been searched by the WA NAGS which are linked bikie gangs.
