Premier Daniel Andrews’ wife Cath shares snap for 50th birthday

The Victorian Premier has debuted a very different look to mark his milestone birthday.

Daniel Andrews has sported a fresh look in a touching birthday tribute posted by his wife Cath.

Mrs Andrews sent the good wishes in recognition of the Victorian Premier’s 50th birthday on Wednesday, July 6.

In the happy black and white snap, Mr Andrews is shown rocking a substantial amount of stubble compared to his usual clean shaven look.

“Happy birthday to you my darling husband,” she wrote.

“I hope you have the best day. All our love.”

Mrs Andrews signed off the touching message with the initials of herself and the pair’s three children – Noah, Grace and Joseph.

Her husband acknowledged the post by re-posting it with a red heart on Twitter.

The last time the Premier showcased a similar style was during his summer break over Christmas in 2021. It’s unclear when the birthday photo was taken.

He showcased the look in a family selfie which left followers’ tongues wagging.

“Well-earned holiday beard!” one person wrote.

“Hope the missus bought you a beard trimmer for Xmas mate, that’s a shocker,” another quipped.

Mr Andrews’ milestone birthday comes as he prepares to take two weeks’ annual leave.

Newly-minted Deputy Premier Jacinta Allan will step into the top job during his absence.
