DETECTIVES have swooped to arrest a man over an alleged robbery at an Ormond jewellery store last month.
DETECTIVES have swooped to arrest a man in relation to an alleged robbery at an Ormond jewellery store last month.
The alleged robbery took place on Katandra Rd on November 24 about 1.40pm.
A man armed with a firearm demanded a staff member open a safe.
The staff member refused and a fight took place which resulted in the victim being hit on the head with the firearm.
Detectives from Bayside Crime Investigation Unit executed a search warrant this morning at a residential address in Stephanie Court, Carrum Downs, before arresting the 59-year-old.
“He is currently assisting police with their inquiries,” police spokesman Senior Constable Alistair Parsons said.
