Police appeal: Who is the mystery girl in the apartment?
NO ONE knows who the mystery girl is, but she’s believed to be in danger. Police have released a few bizarre clues in a bid to track her down.
AN AFL game is being played live, broadcast on a TV in the background. A cluttered entertainment unit can be seen housing framed photographs and personal effects. Large windows appear to overlook a city skyline.
These are the only clues police are hoping will help lead them to a mystery girl whose safety is feared for.
Victoria Police have issued a mysterious appeal to help identify the young girl including two blurry photographs, believed to be taken last year.
The girl, caucasian in appearance with shoulder length brown hair, is believed to be aged between four and six in the photographs.
Police suggest the photograph was taken Sunday, May 24, 2015, when Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, pictured playing on the screen in the background, clashed at the MCG that afternoon.
The girl appears to be in an apartment that is well furnished with modern features, and possibly overlooking a cityscape “or other tall structures”, police said.
Though Victoria Police are handling the matter it is unclear whether the girl was in the state and the images are being circulated nationally.
Police would not say how they obtained the images or specify what led them to believe the girl was in danger.
A spokeswoman for Victoria police said in a statement: “Investigators hold fears for her safety and welfare and hope the release of the images will assist in identifying her.”
Anyone with information or anyone who may be able to identify the girl is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
