Toddler critical after becoming trapped under a tractor

A three-year-old has died after being hit by a tractor and becoming trapped underneath it in regional Victoria this morning.

A toddler has died after a tractor incident in Victoria this morning.

Paramedics were treating the three-year-old, who was in a critical condition, as an air ambulance flew to the scene at Naringal.

Police said a trailer being pulled by a tractor hit the child about 11am causing fatal injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated by police and WorkSafe.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner

Naringal is about 240km from Melbourne, near Port Fairy.
