The moment a car almost mowed down e-scooter riders during a suspected road rage attack in Melbourne has been caught on camera.

The terrifying moment a wayward car veered towards e-scooter riders in Melbourne has been caught on camera.

Footage of the incident was captured on CCTV at St Kilda Road in Melbourne near the Shrine of Remembrance on Sunday evening.

In the clip, four men are seen to be chased by the yellow vehicle as it swerves across the thoroughfare.

However, after narrowly avoiding a collision the men soon retaliated as the driver skidded down the road.

“Get out of your car you f---ing dog,” one said.

As the group continued to yell the driver is seen continuing their erratic spree up and down the road.

Police said they attended the scene on Sunday evening but no one was injured in the incident.

“It is understood four people were riding electric scooters along St Kilda Road when they had a verbal exchange with an unknown female pedestrian about 10.40pm,” a police statement said.

“The woman was picked up by a yellow Ford and the unknown driver began chasing after the four scooter riders.

“Police attended and attempted to speak with the four riders but they refused to provide statements.”

The scooter riders are also being investigated for riding the vehicles in a 60km/h zone.
