Live Breaking News: Melbourne outbreak grows to 133
Victoria again recorded its highest daily amount of locally transmitted cases but health officials are confident the shutdown is stopping the spread.
Stay at home orders are helping contact tracers discover new cases of Covid-19 while the time spent infectious in the community is dropping.
Of the new cases, 24, which is 92 per cent of the new cases, were in quarantine throughout their entire infectious period.
Just three days ago that figure was only 6 per cent, by Wednesday that had risen to 73 per cent of new daily cases fully isolating during their infectious period.
Health Minister Martin Foley said it showed the measures are working and thanked those in isolation.
"That makes in total, over the last 10 days, 133 cases associated with this outbreak to date as a result of the Sydney incursion of COVID-19," he said.
