Karen Ristevski’s stepson airs family feud on Facebook
THE stepson of missing woman Karen Ristevski has posted a series of strange Facebook posts, including claims he was having an affair with her.
A STRUGGLING business, an ice-addicted stepson and now a missing mother.
It’s no secret there were problems behind the Ristevski family’s closed doors, but they have been publicly aired as the search for Karen Ristevski continues.
The Melbourne mum left her luxury $1.1 million Avondale Heights home in Melbourne’s northwest on June 29 and she hasn’t been seen since.
It’s a tragic missing persons case with bizarre twists that are slowly being leaked.
Mrs Ristevski has been married to her husband Borce for about 25 years but Anthony Rickard, Mrs Ristevski’s meth-addicted stepson, has been a weight on their relationship.
He’s made wild claims on Facebook he had an affair with his stepmother and they had plans to run away together.
Mr Rickard has also heavily criticised his father, Karen’s husband, on Facebook and called him a coward.
He said his father watched him do drugs and “allowed Karen to continue her fantasy of leaving u (sic) to run away with me”.
The stepson, who lives in Diggers Rest in Melbourne’s northwest, has posted a number of violent comments and pictures on his Facebook page.
One says “so many idiots, so few bullets” while another post mentions he’s facing problems but it’s “nothing violence won’t fix”.
Less than a week ago he posted a picture that looked like a coupon.
“One free murder. This voucher entitles you to commit one murder without legal, social or financial consequence,” it said.
There are many unanswered questions when it comes to Mrs Ristevski’s disappearance but news.com.au is not suggesting Mr Rickard had anything to do with it.
Mrs Ristevski owned fashion stores Bella Bleu in Broadmeadows, in Melbourne’s north and Taylors Lakes in Melbourne’s northwest.
The Broadmeadows store closed earlier this year and Mr Ristevski and his wife were arguing about the Taylors Lakes store’s takings before her disappearance.
Mr Ristevski said when she left the house for the last time, she went to “clear her head”.
He told the Herald Sun she didn’t leave due to the argument about money.
Mrs Ristevski’s shattered daughter Sarah, 21, has managed to keep out of the strange twists and turns in her mother’s case and is seeking help from the Missing Persons Advocacy Network.
On Thursday night, A Current Affair revealed more details about the Ristevski family feud and the program alleged Mr Rickard said he would tell them his story in return for money.
A Current Affair said they gave him a fake offer of $50,000 but claimed he turned it down and said he wanted $200,000.
Mr Rickard told the Herald Sun the program approached him with a money offer and he did not ask for cash.
Mrs Ristevski’s nephew, Chris Ristevski, told the program the family was “disgusted” by Mr Rickard’s apparent attempt to sell his story.
“That’s the type of person he is,” he said.
“He’s used everyone around him. He’s used Karen and Borce. Karen and Borce have both given him cars, which he’s totally destroyed. Money, accommodation, and he’s just abused it.”
The nephew also claimed he loaned Mr Rickard $2000, which was never paid back.
Police stepped up the search for the missing mother on Thursday and are focusing on Melbourne’s northwest.
People who live in the area have been asked to check their properties for any changes.
Police have grave concerns for Mrs Ristevski, despite her brother-in-law suggesting she could have run away.
He told the Herald Sun he believed she ran away to China or the US using a fake passport.
Mrs Ristevski is 160cm tall, with a slim build and shoulder length brown hair.
She was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans and is known to frequent Taylors Lakes.
She hasn’t used her mobile phone or accessed her bank account since she went missing.
