Couple missing in Grampians found
Police have confirmed a massive development in the search of a couple who went missing in the Victorian wilderness over the weekend.
A couple who went missing in a rugged Victorian national park have been found.
A full-scale search operation in the Grampians – three hours west of Melbourne – was launched on Monday morning after the couple failed to return on Sunday evening. They were last seen leaving a popular pub, Dunkel’s Royal Mail Hotel, on Sunday morning.
The 50-year-old man from Murrumbeena and a 37-year-old woman from Oakleigh East left Melbourne on Friday for a four-wheel drive trip, police said.
The alarm was raised by family members, who were expecting the couple to return home on Sunday evening.
It’s understood the couple became bogged in a road without phone reception.
