Bird poo lands on reporter Reid Butler during live television cross
A TV reporter was midway through a television live cross in Melbourne when he was forced to deal with a nasty surprise.
A Melbourne reporter has copped a face full of bird poo midway through a live cross on television.
Reid Butler was addressing the camera outside a Melbourne train station about to inform viewers about the rail line exposed to coronavirus when a bird flew overhead and dumped a nasty surprise on his forehead.
Butler reacted by running his fingers through his hair, but did well to keep his composure.
The Channel 9 journalist’s cameraman then jumped in and cleaned away the poo with a cloth while the grab was playing.
First and hopefully last time I cop a face full of bird poo midway through a @9NewsMelb live cross. ð¦ Going to buy a lotto ticket. Also, camo Trav is a legend for cleaning me up while the grab was playing. ðð pic.twitter.com/lPyyQuxjSD

He then completed the live cross shortly after.
Butler took to Twitter after the incident earlier this week, quipping he would “go and buy a lotto ticket”.
