Man dead, another injured in Ormond stabbing

A man has died in Melbourne’s south east, but the “exact circumstances” aren’t yet known.

A man has died and another is in hospital after a stabbing in Melbourne’s south east in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Victorian homicide squad detectives are investigating after they were called to Ormond about 1am.

One man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The other man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have yet to ascertain the “exact circumstances” surrounding the man’s death.

There have been reports the man was stabbed after a fight broke out at the residence and spilt out into the street.

No charges have been laid as police continue to investigate.
