Decapitated kangaroo left to cook on public barbecue

The head of a decapitated kangaroo has been left cooking on a public barbecue at public park in Melbourne.
Distressed witnesses made the gruesome discovery at Diamond Creek, in Melbourne’s north, early this morning.
Police received reports of a decapitated kangaroo at a picnic area to the side by one of the park’s walking trails about 8.20am.
Officers located the had of the kangaroo on the barbecue while the body was located bout 60 metres away.
A skinned rabbit was also located at the nearby children’s playground.
A number of families were reportedly in the park celebrating Australia Day while the slain animal on the barbecue, callers told 3AW radio.
