A woman is fighting for life after having hot coffee poured on her before an alleged assault at a Melbourne 7-Eleven store.
A woman is fighting for life after an alleged assault at a Melbourne 7-Eleven store.
Police and emergency services were called to the Caulfield store about 10.15am on Tuesday.
It’s alleged a second woman poured hot coffee on the victim before assaulting her and fleeing.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police were quick to swoop on the second woman allegedly involved, arresting her within hours.
She is being interviewed by police.

“Investigators have been told a woman poured coffee over the victim and then assaulted her before fleeing the area,” police said.
“A 52-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“The woman arrested is currently assisting police with their enquiries and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.”
A 7-Eleven spokesperson said the company’s safety officers were at the store to gather information from teams members and to ensure they were OK.
“There were two staff on-site at the time and neither were injured,” the spokesperson said.
“CCTV of the incident is being extracted and we will provide that to police, and provide investigators with any other assistance that we can.
“Irrespective of the circumstances, our thoughts are with the injured person.”
