Vision emerges of girl being threatened with machete outside Melbourne home
Horrifying footage has emerged of a teenage girl being threatened with a machete outside a home in Melbourne’s southeast.
Horrifying footage has emerged of a large machete being held up to the neck of a child outside a home in southeast Melbourne.
The homeowner sent the footage to radio station 3AW after capturing the vision on his security camera.
The incident showed three hooded children chasing the terrified girl and a male friend – who are understood to be about 14.
“I’ve been a reporter for 20 years and I’ve never been sent a video like the one I received this morning,” radio announcer Jacqui Felgate said on 3AW.
The pair run to the door in an effort to escape the three hooded youths who yell at them to “say sorry”.
The girl can be heard pleading with the group saying: “Please please.”
The homeowner – who did not know any of the children – went outside to investigate the disturbance before closing the door and calling the police.
The scary incident occurred at Sadie St in Mount Waverley about 11.15pm on Friday.
It is understood the groups had an earlier clash at a rave which was being held in the suburb. Police were forced to attend the event to break up the gathering which attended by hundreds.
In a statement, Victoria Police said officers attended the scene following the phone call from the homeowner.
