Victorian police have arrested sex offender Jeamy Olaa after manhunt

Police have arrested Jeamy Olaa after a statewide manhunt for the registered sex offender was launched.

A registered Victorian sex offender has been arrested following a statewide manhunt to locate him.

Jeamy Olaa, who is also known as Jimmy Akot, was required to tell police where he resides as part of his sex offending reporting obligations.

The 29-year-old man’s last known residential address was in Deer Park, some 17km west of Melbourne, police say.

On Saturday police released an alert to say that Olaa had been arrested at Williamstown.
