Mitcham stabbing: Ex-wife charged with man’s stabbing death

UPDATE: THE ex-wife of a Melbourne man stabbed to death earlier today has been charged with his murder at an out of sessions court hearing.

charged with his murder.

Renee Louise Nolan, 69, was charged with the murder of Harold George Nolan at an out-of-court sessions hearing at the Melbourne West police station this evening.

Nolan, who was wearing what appeared to be a police issued blue jumpsuit and shoe covers with short grey hair, was very quietly spoken and only answered when spoken to by the bail justice.

Detective Senior Constable Matthew Lewis told the hearing the accused called triple 0 at 12.20pm and later admitted to killing her ex-husband at Box Hill police station.

Sen-Con Lewis said Mr Nolan’s body was found in bed by police.

Sen-Con Lewis said Nolan had no prior criminal history.

She was remanded in custody and will face Melbourne Magistrates’

Court tomorrow.
