Man stabbed to death in North Melbourne apartment
A man has been stabbed to death inside a Melbourne apartment, while another has been arrested after police used “non-lethal force” to subdue him.
A man has been stabbed to death at a North Melbourne apartment building, while another has been arrested after he was subdued with “non-lethal force”.
The victim was found with stab wounds after emergency services were called to the Sutton Street apartment about 11.40am on Saturday.
Paramedics worked to save the man and performed CPR, but he died in hospital.
Specialist officers from the Critical Incident Response Team deployed “non-lethal force” to subdue a Dallas man at the scene and he was arrested.
The 30-year-old man is currently speaking to police. No charges have been laid.
Officers believe the pair were known to each other.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad remain at the scene.
