Man fights for life after love triangle knifing in Mornington Peninsula
A MAN is in a critical condition after he was allegedly stabbed by a former partner of his girlfriend. The alleged attacker was arrested hours later.
A MAN is in a critical condition after he was allegedly slashed in a love triangle attack in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
Emergency services were called to a home in Dromana, near Mornington Peninsula, at 3am after a 39-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were allegedly attacked yesterday morning.
According to Channel 9, the victims named as Nikki Gaitanis, and Ben Holland, were attacked just after 3am at the Monaco Parade home.
Daniel Burchell, 30, allegedly fled the scene following the attack on his former partner and her current boyfriend but was arrested later that morning in Frankston.
The couple managed to dial triple-0 for help.
Police said the male victim was flown to hospital where he remained in a critical condition.
The woman, a mother-of-three, has serious but non-life threatening injuries.
It is understood her daughters were at home during the attack.
Burchall is due to appear in court today over the incident.
