Man charged over Melbourne carjacking
POLICE have arrested a man in relation to a violent carjacking in Melbourne — in which a teenager was bashed so badly that she needs plastic surgery.
A MAN has been charged over a brutal carjacking of an 18-year-old woman who was dragged along a Melbourne road while trying to rescue her dog.
Police on Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old man and charged him with aggravated carjacking, reckless conduct endangering life, theft of motor vehicle and being a prohibited person in possession of a gun.
He was remanded in custody to reappear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday. A 31-year-old woman, who was also arrested, was released pending further inquiries.
