Man arrested for pointing gun at man, woman in underground apartment car park

A man has been arrested after allegedly following a car into an apartment building carpark and pointing a gun at the occupants.

A man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a couple in a Melbourne carpark.

Police allege a man and woman drove into the underground car park of a West Footscray apartment complex on Roberts Rd, just before 9pm on May 16.

A man followed the vehicle into the car park on foot and allegedly produced a handgun and threatened the occupants of the car.

The couple – a man, 27, and woman, 24, both of West Footscray – were not injured in the incident.

A Thornhill Park man, 38, has been charged with 14 offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, being a prohibited person to carry a firearm, assault with a weapon and motor vehicle theft.

He was remanded in custody to appear in Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on July 28.
